Mike Marsteller is a youth motivational speaker and the founder of the HCM Foundation which is a non-profit organization that provides financial support to help cancer patients and their families. He grew up in Pennsylvania and throughout childhood and adolescence he struggled with the constant void of his Father, who lost his battle with cancer when Mike was just one year old. Mike is also a triathlete and has completed 4 Iron Man races.
In this episode Mike talks about challenges he faced growing up without his father and how it inspired him to start the HCM Foundation. In addition, Mike gives us advice on turning obstacles into opportunities. We focused on overcoming injuries and transitioning to life after sports. In addition, we talk about staying on the path less traveled and dealing with failure. Lastly, Mike talks about how he got into competing in triathlons and why its a good outlet to stay active, competitive and healthy.
